Early Foundations

Master Teruyuki Okazaki, a direct student of Master Gichin Funakoshi, trained in Japan under the Japan Karate Association (JKA), carrying forward the principles of traditional Shotokan Karate.

1961 – Arrival in the United States

Master Okazaki arrived in the United States to help spread traditional karate, becoming one of the most influential instructors in North America.

1977 – ISKF Founded

The International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) was established as a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving authentic Shotokan teachings and standards.

Global Expansion

ISKF expanded worldwide, establishing dojos across multiple countries, hosting seminars, tournaments, and instructor development programs.

Modern Day
