The purpose of the National Collegiate Karate Association is:
- To increase awareness of traditional Japanese Shotokan karate as a sport in the U.S. college/university system.
- To maintain and instill the mental and physical values and benefits of Karate-do.
- To develop good will among people and places

NCKA Affiliated Clubs
The NCKA is open to collegiate clubs which are part of the ISKF. NCKA sponsored events, such as regional collegiate camps, are open to ALL college students practicing Shotokan karate, regardless of affiliation. Competition rules are those of the ISKF.
